Lastly, I realize that the page's SEO meta description (if it is set) is used as the share text by most social platforms — but it would be nice to override the default message for this. And for email sharing, even if there is a meta description set, currently it is not used.

I just wanted to update my comment. I have actually figured out a pretty easy way of doing this.

If you go under "Share Preferences" you can actually enter custom text and a link there.

I would recommend making this more obvious to users, but so happy it works!

I do understand that you need to have this option added and I wish I had more encouraging news to share.

We do the best we can to release as many new features as possible, and since we now have quite a lot of requests we're just not able to implement them all. I'm really sorry about this!

At the moment we start with the most wanted ones, however, we do consider all the ideas we get and appreciate each and every one of them.

I do believe we will have this very option added in the near future, as I also agree that it will be a great addition.

Yes! Please implement this feature. I will have to go with competitive share buttons because it doesn't have this.
