Not just in the Photo Gallery, but every app that allows you to upload images should have an area to optimize the photo with Image Title and Alt tags. It would improve SEO performance if your widgets had that capability or if you had an image library built in the backend.
Also, Government laws of ADA require alt and title tags for website readers for the disabled. Being a part of a large corporation and using these tools, having alt and title tags available would be a game changer in promoting the extended use of your product to our superiors.

Great news: Image Alt Text is here! 🎉
Now you do have an option to add Alt text for your images.
Here's where you will find it:
Go to your widget's Content tab
Choose an image
Find IMAGE ALT TEXT option and add your text
As for the Title tags, they get applied automatically from an image Title.

I totally understand your reasons and I'm truly sorry that Alt tags are not supported yet.
We agree that this is an essential feature, and our dev team are working on implementing it to our widgets gradually. I'm happy to say that they do have a task to add Alt support to Photo Gallery widget.

How is this feature not yet a part of the tool? This comment was made over a year ago. I can't risk using it without some ADA compliancy since I am manageing a site for a public institution. Can you say federal fines, lawsuits and bad press?
