Group Chat Widget

Would be awesome to have a live group chat widget that would allow users on the site to interact with one-another. (ie. not a 1-to-1 support chat widget, more like an old AIM chat :)

This would be very helpful for webinars to ad a chat widget next to the video window to increase user engagement.

  • Post as Guest

  • Basic moderation tools

  • Upload media (pictures)

  • Embed media (Youtube, Giphy, Soundcloud, etc.)

    Some additional features:

    • Private messages

    • Seperate channels (one for main chat, one for Q&A, etc.)

    • Resume autoscroll (for when you scroll back through old messages, it's easy to return to the real-time feed

    • The ability to @ mention users (along with a notification system for when you've been mentioned or PMd)

    • Both embeddable and floating chat bar

    • Social login with ability to click to their social account


    We've used both Embedded-Chat and DeadSimpleChat.com for live events in the past - each has some but not all the previously mentioned features.
