It would be especially great to have reCapcha that uses arithmetic to protect the form from bots

As a workaround without reCaptcha, I've added a calendar widget, mandatory field, into my form. This requires a visitor/user to select a date before the submit button will be activated. This does ZERO validation and good enough for my Contact Us forms.
D B's comment, listed below on 18 July, could possibly be a quick fix until reCaptcha can be re-introduced.I'm thinking some algorithm/logic in the Age Verification widget may possibly be re-used.

I created and installed a form on a sandbox website. It didn't last more than one for it to get spam.
Thank you for this idea!
We do understand your reasons, and we'll think over adding a reCaptcha to the widget.

I second this. Too many soammers get through, even with Google reCapcha. Using a verification method that requires computation would be ideal. 5+9=?
