As a workaround without reCaptcha, I've added a calendar widget, mandatory field, into my form. This requires a visitor/user to select a date before the submit button will be activated.
This does ZERO validation and good enough for my Contact Us forms.
It is not usable without the reCaptcha...

D B's comment, listed below on 18 July, could possibly be a quick fix until reCaptcha can be re-introduced.
I'm thinking some algorithm/logic in the Age Verification widget may possibly be re-used.

I second this. Too many soammers get through, even with Google reCapcha. Using a verification method that requires computation would be ideal. 5+9=?
