I think is one of the Google maps basics, i think it's worth the work time to implement it cause it's not a new added functionality and its a must have for Travel agencies, Events agencies, Tour operators, Sport events, travel blogs...

Connect to an RSS feed or better yet, an Airtable database

We store our data in Airtable and it would be great to do dynamic updates from that db

Auto expand the side/ bottom panel on smartphone.

Auto expand the side/ bottom panel on smartphone. Currently it requires manual toggling and unfortunately most end users do not realise that they need to tap on the arrow icon to expand the whole panel.

API

Can we have an API created to allow us to program applications to post to the maps and create markers etc. It would allow for multiple markers to be placed depending on usage of the maps widget. Thank you.

1. Allow one to draw a polyline / draw a route between 2 markers. 2. Allow a user to include a link from a marker (possibly the description field) to another website.

Choose Filter View as the default option on side panel

When you have over 100 locations on the map it is sometimes better to be able to click through the filters as a priortiy over a list of addresses.

City boundary/Polygonal/Shape create on the Google Map

Would be nice if possible to draw a city boundary or add polygonal on the map widget too. Is it possible to add that feature? Like having one on the “Google My Maps”.
